JOB DESCRIPTION
Material Handler
The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility, ensuring seamless operations. This role requires loading and unloading trucks, moving products around the facility using equipment such as walkie riders and pallet jacks. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and upholding quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials.
- Deliver materials to the production floor and analyze workload based on order sheets.
- Perform routine checks on delivered raw materials and inspect equipment, including cleaning and adding fluids as needed.
- Conduct quality checks using microscopes, micrometers, measuring devices, and other related tools.
- Use mobile equipment, including forklifts and walkies, in daily operations.
- Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including safety compliance.
- Prepare and manage documentation as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following the 6S standard.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers both verbally and in written form.
- Adhere to company rules and policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Support compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area.
- Train others at the same or lower level within the functional area.

Work Environment
The work environment includes the use of various mobile equipment such as forklifts and walkies. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and safe workspace following the 6S standard and adhere to all safety protocols. Work hours are scheduled, and employees must have the ability to work all assigned shifts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of De Soto, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
