Job Description:Job: Material HandlerShift: Days 6:00AM-6:30PM 223 Rotating Shift.Location: Royal Canin (Fremont NE)Royal Canin is seeking a Material Handler to join our exciting pet food business at a Fremont NE manufacturing plant. This role will operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area. Shipping Operators must ensure efficiency operational conformance product quality and continuous improvement. Shipping Operators must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This job requires strong communication interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.Key Responsibilities:Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all timesPerform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storageProvide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipmentAssist in other production sanitation maintenance and quality activity in other areas as directedPerform housekeeping and sanitation proceduresProvide functional communication with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality efficiency productivity and safetyLoading trucks live loads and staged loadsAbility to operate Fork lift (Expert Level)Direct ship responsibility including proper disposition of hold product food safety hold product and released productWMS BOL responsibility / accountabilitySupport Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with shipping departmentPhysical/Environmental RequirementsStanding on a concrete floorSitting getting up and down off of a forklift oftenWearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net bump cap ear plugs safety shoes and uniform)Bending stooping twist turn standing for extended time periods reaching climbing stairs and lifting up to 55lbsMust be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold dust dirt and chemicalsVision correctable to 20/20Job Qualifications:Be 18 years of age or olderHave a High school diploma GED or equivalent educationMust be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedulesAbility to understand and effectively communicate in the English languageKnowledge/Experience: Forklift certifiedKnowledge of inventory computer systems WMSFood manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safetyKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices About Mars IncorporatedMars is a family-owned business with over a century of history making diverse products and offering services for people and the pets people love.
