Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilledMaterial Handling Equipment Technician(also might be under Forklift Mechanic or Factory Tugger) to perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on our industrial equipment including forklifts tuggers personnel carriers and aerial lifts. This position requires a technical expert who can work independently to diagnose repair and maintain our material handling equipment in a factory and warehouse setting.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic failures in MHE fleet equipmentDisassemble repair and reassemble components including electrical systems motors drive systems rear ends and brakesPerform regular preventive maintenance and safety inspections according to scheduleRespond promptly to service calls and equipment breakdownsMaintain accurate equipment service records and documentationComplete daily checklists and maintenance logs in the Corrigo systemOrder necessary replacement parts while managing inventoryAdhere to all site safety protocols and proceduresQualificationsRequiredThis position focuses on warehouse and factory equipment heavy truck and diesel experience is not applicableEight years of documentable experience with forklifts aerial lifts tuggers or material handling equipment. Has to be verifiable from a paid employer (full time). Experience operating the equipment would not count must have been working on the machines.Exceptional analytical troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsStrong understanding of industrial equipment mechanical hydraulic and electrical systemsDemonstrated experience with hydraulic and brake systemsExperience administering Preventive Maintenance Programs (Corrigo)Ability to interpret technical schematics and equipment manualsPhysical capability to perform movements including lifting pinching bending reaching climbing and handling objectsValid Drivers LicenseHighschool Diploma/GEDPreferredExperience working with computer instrumentation for diagnostics and maintenance trackingKnowledge of manufacturing standards and keeping current with equipment technologyExperience in industrial batteries and charging systems.Experience with Hyster Hoist Crown Genie JLG Taylor Dunn and Columbia equipment.Experience in performing minor repairs to light trucks and vehicles.
