See our groundbreaking work here: Material Handlers primary responsibility will be to receive raw materialsplaceintoinventoryand pull saw material packages. The position willassistthe Machine Department Supervisor along with theReceiving Manager in developing and implementing strategies to ensure continuity of supply scheduling the press line to match thepanelsaw requirements.Primary Responsibilities include:Unloads and stages incoming material in a safe manner.QCs all incoming product ensuringitsthe correct item withaccuratequantities when reconciling against the Purchase Order and any referenced prints.Notifies Purchasing Production and Machine Supervisor of non-conforming materials and/or discrepancies upon receipt.Prepares non-conforming materials to be returned to the vendor.Pulls and kits all materials for distribution to the various machines panel saw nested base CNC press line and finish line.Notifies Purchasing and/or Production of any missing or late material.Helpsmaintainpart organization to improve department and shop flow.Keepsall areas clean neat and organizedat all times(pallets and obstructions need to be removed as soon as possible).Issues materials from Epicor to ensureaccuratecounts aremaintainedin inventory on hardwoods sheet goods laminates veneers Plexi edge banding and metal.NotifiesReceivingand MachineManagersof issues with material and inventory via email whenever necessary.Perform related work as assigned.Required Skills and Abilities:Must have a basic understanding of loading/unloading and storage procedures.Must have adequate computer skills tooperatematerial issuing functions inan ERPsoftware.This position must have the ability tooperateboth Forklifts withanunderstanding of all safety precautions.The Material Handler is also trained to unload a variety of materials from several types of trucks in varying weather conditions.Required AttributesFollowsafety-relatedpractices and procedures.Ability tomaintaindailyprocessand procedures.Punctuality and regular attendanceareessential.Key Performance IndicatorsMaintaining current andaccurateraw material transfer paperwork and daily issuing of same in the ERP system.Ability to multi-taskTrack andmaintainaccurateinventory counts.PhysicalRequirements:While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to: frequently remain in a stationary position; communicate and discern information accurately; move throughout the work also constantly:operate/handle tools and/or machinery; position self including ascending/descending steps or stairs to inspectmaintainand service equipment; move or transport product throughout the work area.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts airborne particles fumes and loud noises.
