JOB DESCRIPTION

Supply Chain Materials Planner

We are seeking an experienced supply chain professional to lead materials planning activities. This role focuses on ensuring an uninterrupted supply to our manufacturing operations by planning raw material and packaging requirements, managing replenishment, and maintaining inventory levels that support production schedules and customer service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan raw material and packaging inventory levels to support forecasted demand and production requirements, issuing purchase orders or replenishment signals accordingly.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure materials are produced, shipped, and received on schedule, adhering to the mission of delivering the right product, at the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost.
  • Provide clear planning signals and work closely with suppliers to adjust order timing, quantities, and priorities in response to changes in demand, lead times, and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Sourcing, New Product teams, and Customer Service to ensure material availability for ongoing production, customer deliveries, and new product launches.
  • Own and maintain tools and reports required to monitor material availability, inventory health, supplier performance, and planning accuracy while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Communicate current material availability, potential shortages, expected recoveries, and other supply issues impacting production or customer delivery execution.
  • Participate in learning opportunities to further develop expertise in Supply Chain.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office and proficiency in SAP or a similar ERP package
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage volatile/changing conditions

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred
  • Experience in supply chain and/or manufacturing with a focus on production planning/scheduling and materials management
  • 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning, Plant Purchasing, and/or Logistics preferred
  • Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP system required
  • Experience with Anaplan or similar production planning software preferred

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid office environment with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. The role is based in Carbondale, PA.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Carbondale, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
