As part of our teamrooted in collaboration authenticity and innovationyoull ultimately contribute to groundbreaking science that enhances lives globally and shapes a healthier future for all.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The Materials Supervisor is responsible for Leading a team of Buyer/Planners to develop production/supply plans that consider forecasts availability of materials manufacturing capacity while meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI).This position reports to the Operations Director and is part of the Operations department located in San Jose CA .In this role you will have the opportunity to:Be responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans.Be responsible for providing materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and for the appropriate shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers utilizing material handling equipment in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levelsBe responsible for inventory control with use of Kanban avoiding under and over design levels.Take on additional responsibilities from Operations managementThe essential requirements of the job include:Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain as Planner Buyer Master Scheduler or similar capacityExperience as a People Leader with proven ability of effective communication with direct reports and leadershipHigh school diploma or GED required; advance degree preferredIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Preferred to have experience using Kanban Root Cause Analysis and 5SPreferred to have experience as a Data AnalystMolecular Devices a Danaher operating company offers a broad array of comprehensive competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned vested and determinable.
