Phoenix National Labs in Tempe AZ is seekinga Mechanical Laboratory Technicianto test metals plastics rubbers ceramics and other materials as well as support nondestructive testing and metallurgical services. This is a permanent job typically working 40-50 hours per week. Local candidates and those willing to relo to Tempe AZ at their own expense encouraged to apply.Responsibilities/Duties: Operating testing machines that determine physical properties and strength of materialsPrepare test specimensCalculate material properties based on test resultsDetermine acceptability of test results to job specificationsPrepare reportsQualifications Requirements/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and mathematical skills. A two- or four-year Engineering Technology Degree or equivalent is preferred.
