The mission of OUHS is to prepare its students foradmission to and success in college and career. We are a small school with high expectationsand a safe and nurturing environment for teaching and learning. Over the years OUHS hasestablished itself as a high impact school and is one of the highest achieving Oakland highschools. The school annually enrolls approximately 300 students in grades 9-12. Over 85% ofUnity students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and over 75% come from immigrantfamilies whose home language is not English.
