As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for operating the customer facing meat carving station to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the stores meat merchandising plan. The Meat Cutters goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability.ResponsibilitiesCut and trim meat using knives and power equipmentPackage and display meat in an attractive mannerInteract with customers, give samples, and upsellReceive and inspect meat as it arrives to the storeDeliver orders quickly and consistently, ensuring accuracy and top-quality presentationFollow high standards of food safety, sanitation and quality controlExperience slicing and carving meats (brisket, pork, ribs, poultry) with precision and consistency.Ability to safely operate and maintain BBQ smokers, warmers, and prep equipmentAssist with food prep, including trimming meats, portioning, and preparing ingredientsHelp make house-made sauces, side dishes, and other menu items according to recipesQualificationsMust be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma/GED requiredExperience slicing and carving meats (brisket, pork, ribs, poultry) with precision and consistency.Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbsComfortable using meat cutting equipment, slicers, knives, and standard kitchen tools.Good communication skills for interacting with customers at the counterAbility to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to follow written recipesRestaurant experience a must, ServSafe certificate a bonus
