Full-Time Maintenance District Office at Academics Plus Charter School

LOCATION: Academics Plus Charter Schools 600 Edgewood Drive Maumelle AR 72113Academics Plus Charter Schools Inc. (APCSI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Full-Time Maintenance worker for the district.The custodianshould be able to provide maintenance and custodial services as needed and/or as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma/GEDSuccessful completion of the pre-employment background checks.REPORTS TO:Director of Maintenance & or School PrincipalESSENTIAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors chalkboards wastebaskets windows furniture equipment and restrooms.Maintain a program of preventive maintenance to ensure the comfort health and safety of students and staff.Move furniture equipment of materials within building and across campuses as directed by principal or supervisorKeep school building and grounds including sidewalks driveways parking lots and play areas neat and clean.Assist with the cleanup in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch periods cleaning trays removing trash etc as directed by supervisor.Perform some heavy lifting.Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.Other duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS:Physical Demands:Strenuous walking standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying; work outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust toxic chemicals and materials; slippery or uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders; ability to lift and carry 75lbs.The foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities duties and skills that may be required.
