Job Description Job Description Job Title Mechanic
Reports To: Owners
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for repair and maintenance of owners' equipment, repair of customer equipment and any other task the Owners dem appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintain and repair owners equipment.
2. Repair small engine and equipment for customer.
3. Maintain equipment and maintenance records for owners equipment .
4. Maintains repair records for customers.
5. Assists landscape supply customers.
6. Loads customer for landscape supplies.
7. Reports dangerous situations to owner.
8. Reports damage to customer's property.
9. Deliver pick up and deliver products
10. May have to assist other crews as needed
11. Maintains equipment.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
One year related experience or training.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license
Ability to receive Certifications Kohler Kawasaki Brigs and Stratton engines with in one year of employment.
Equipment:
• Various mechanics tools and power tools
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with customers and employees
• Ability to physically perform all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance services offered to the customers of Grass Chopper Grounds Maintenance
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
