Full-timeDescriptionDiesel MechanicJob Type:Full TimeShift:7 am until 4 pm - Monday to FridayCompensation:$22.00 - $31.00/hrDiesel Mechanics Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to inspect diagnose repair and maintain a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diesel and/or gasoline-powered trucks trailers and related systems and will ensure all fleet assets remain safe compliant and road-ready.Diesel Mechanic Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) and safety checks on fleet vehicles per company and DOT standardsDiagnose mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic issuesComplete repairs on engines transmissions brakes suspension HVAC and other systemsMaintain accurate service records and work ordersPerform road calls and emergency repairs when neededUse diagnostic tools and repair manuals to troubleshoot issuesConduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with federal state and local regulationsCoordinate with drivers and operations teams to schedule maintenanceMaintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA guidelinesDiesel Mechanic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred2 years of experience in fleet truck or heavy equipment maintenance preferredASE certifications a plusCDL preferred or ability to obtain (Class A or B depending on fleet needs)Strong understanding of diesel engines air brake systems and hydraulic componentsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagramsProficient with diagnostic tools and computer-based softwareAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasksMust pass a background check and drug screeningStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyDiesel Mechanic Benefits:Competitive hourly payHealth dental and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysUniforms and PPE providedOngoing training and certification assistance##IDEASTSalary Description$22/hr to $31/hr Key Skills Mechanic Experience,Change Management,caterpillar,Brake Repair,Diesel Engine Repair,Tanker Experience,Mechanical Knowledge,Vehicle Maintenance,Air Brake,Automotive Diagnostics,Hydraulics,Quality Management Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Hourly Salary Salary: 22 - 31
