Mechanic II at EOG Resources

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of compressors and engines in the field and in the shop.Essential Functions:Troubleshoot and Rebuild: engines compressors and all accessories such as water pumps cylinder heads oil pumps etc.Travel to field locations to make repairs on-siteMaintain inventory on parts and suppliesKeep engines tuned up and compressors moving the required gas volumesKeep units clean by fixing leaks and washing unitsPerform necessary emissions related repairs and testingAssist other mechanics in completing larger tasksHigh School diploma or GED required5 years of natural gas compressor experience requiredAdditional Education: Natural Gas Compression Gas/Diesel Engine Trade School or Welding certificate preferredMust be able to work alone and as part of a group.Must be able to spend 95% of time out in the fieldStrong analysis/comprehension skills judgement/decision making abilityMust have strong computer skills i.e. Word ExcelMust be able to drive and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle RecordMust be able to climb push/pull/lift 100 lbs. And carry objects weighing 70 lbs.Must be able to bend crouch crawl and squatMust be able to work in extreme heat and cold situationsHigh exposure to noise fumes/odors and hazardous materialsMust have general understanding of production equipment and gas measurementMust be able to operate tools used for engine and gas compressor maintenance. i.e. Calipers Voltmeter Feeler Gauges and Torque wrenchesMust be able to operate pressurized steam cleaner air compressors and gas compressorsMust be able to operate a truck mounted craneMust have working knowledge of EMIT Edge NG EICS and Adem IV AFRCsMust have working knowledge of Murphy TTD and Centurion annunciators.Must have working knowledge of CaterpillarNA/TA enginesMust have working knowledge of Gemini M/H-302 CIP PHT/PXT and Ariel JGQ/JGP compressor frames.Must have good driving record.Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.EOG Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans and Disabled.
