Job DescriptionJob Description:POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a variety of intermediate mechanical duties under the direction of supervisor to ensure vehicles/equipment are operating in a safe, efficient, and environmentally-conscious manner through mechanical maintenance, service, and repair.Overnight/Graveyard Shift: Wed-Sat 8pm-6:30am PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:90% - Monitor, inspect, diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, forklifts, dollies, company passenger vehicles, and material handling equipment. Utilize equipment manuals and schematics in the repair and maintenance of equipment. Test drive equipment during the diagnose and repair process.Duties include, but are not limited, to:Engines (repair and maintain)Major componentsElectrical systemsHydraulic systemsHeating and air conditioningTiresBodyBrakesWelding and fabrication10% - Other duties as assignedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Educational/Experience Requirements:1+ years experience as mechanic and/or trade school with autos and/or demonstrated knowledge of intermediate mechanicsRequired Technical Skills/Knowledge:Valid driver's licenseWillingness to acquire and maintain CDL preferred - training providedDemonstrated knowledge of mechanical aptitude and diagnosis skillsAbility to meets requirements of DOT 3.96 to sign-off on repairs and perform DOT inspections within 12 months of hireAbility to acquire and maintain forklift certificationBasic computer skillsBENEFITS:Quarterly Bonus PayFREEmedical insurance option for employeesTuition assistanceRetirement Plan - 100% paid for by the CompanyPaid time off / Paid holidaysLes Schwab Tire Centers is an equal opportunity employer.
