Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWell established electrical construction company seeks a skilled mechanic for automotive, truck, and equipment maintenance and repair. Our fleet consists of a wide variety of types and ages of equipment. The work will involve gas and diesel engines, brakes, drive line, hydraulics, body work, painting, welding, construction equipment (water pumps, generators, conduit threaders, conduit benders, hydraulic hole punches, compactors, concrete saws, etc.), and general shop maintenance.Responsibilities· Perform regular inspections to identify and address potential maintenance concerns.· Diagnose and repair broken or damaged equipment.· Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and machinery.· Perform welding and brazing as needed.· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair. Qualifications· Candidate must be honest, dependable, self-motivated, have a positive attitude, be willing to learn, drug free, clean cut, an American citizen, and possess a CDL, or be able to obtain one.· Candidate must possess their own tools.· Previous experience as a mechanic and with various types of construction equipment is required.· Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.· Must have a knowledge of shop equipment and tools· Must be thorough and detail oriented.· Able to make some repairs in the field, depending on the equipment.  Company DescriptionMallory Electric is the proven electrical contracting choice for commercial, industrial, municipal and military projects in eastern Virginia and North Carolina.Mallory Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.Company DescriptionMallory Electric is the proven electrical contracting choice for commercial, industrial, municipal and military projects in eastern Virginia and North Carolina.\rMallory Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
