Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCMM Programmer | Manistee, MISalary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experienceAre you a skilled professional with a passion for precision measurement and ensuring dimensional accuracy? We are collaborating with companies in Manistee seeking experienced CMM Programmers.The OpportunityWe collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Manistee region seeking CMM Programmers. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs from 3D models and blueprints.Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to create accurate measurement routines.Perform dimensional inspections on manufactured parts using CMMs and analyze measurement data.Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).Troubleshoot CMM program errors, equipment malfunctions, and measurement discrepancies.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve part quality and measurement issues.Select and design appropriate fixturing for CMM inspection setups.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T principles.Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and 3D CAD models.Experience with CMM setup, operation, and troubleshooting.Knowledge of metrology concepts, measurement techniques, and quality control standards.Bonus QualificationsGD&T Certification (e.g., ASQ GDTP)Proficiency with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for model interpretation or fixture designKnowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles or Quality Management Systems (QMS)Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Engineer, Dimensional Inspector, CMM Technician, Quality Metrologist, Measurement Engineer, Quality Control Inspector (CMM), Manufacturing Metrologist, Dimensional Measurement SpecialistWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
