The position will also perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment and trucks including but not limited to diagnostics inspections parts replacement and system overhauls.Shift: Ranges from Monday-Friday 7am-7pm including weekends with some variations per business needs.Responsibilities:Planning and scheduling services needed for site including other sitesDirecting and monitoring other mechanics activities and ensuring the completion of scheduled maintenanceOrder parts and interact with vendors to ensure all equipment is serviced/repaired in a timely and safe mannerProvides reports to Site Manager documenting mechanic activities and work log and ensure all the sites mechanical needs are metInspecting trucks cranes bulldozers and other heavy equipment for proper performance.Diagnostics using computerized testing equipmentEnter data in maintenance management systemCleaning lubricating and conducting routine servicesCleaning and servicing of machine attachments such as winches blades and side booms.Perform major repairs when necessaryReport damaged or faulty equipment including safety concerns/hazards or defects to leadership on site when identifiedPerform emergency repairs in the fieldPerform other job-related duties as assignedMinimum Job Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferredState issued valid Drivers LicensePreferred Job Qualifications:Five (5) or more years experience with heavy equipment maintenance required preferably in the compost industryAdvanced knowledge of diesel and gas engines welding brakes and hydraulicsAdvanced knowledge of federal state and local job site health and safety rules regulations and best practicesAbility to perform complex repairs and preventative maintenance on equipmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities using both manual and computerized toolsProficiency with tools machinery and repair equipmentAbility to delegate tasks and oversee job completion with efficiency and accuracyStrong decision-making under pressure especially in time-sensitive repair situationsAbility to prioritize work orders and manage shop workflowRecordkeeping skills for maintenance logs inventory and service historiesAbility to use company maintenance softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customersTime management and multitasking in a fast-paced environmentAbility to be a team-player for overall company success.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:Normal work environment is indoors and outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions dirt high levels of noise smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions including PPE.The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hearing protection safety-toed boots utility gloves hard hat reflective vest and safety glasses.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to utilize tools and other equipment necessary to perform job dutiesAuditory and visual acuity to monitor surroundings equipment sounds and safety signals (with or without corrective devices).Frequent walking standing bending stooping climbing and kneeling required in outdoor and uneven terrain environments.Tolerance to work in environments with strong odors dust humidity and varying weather conditions (hot cold wet) and handle oils fuels and other necessary liquids/chemicals.Must be able to lift push pull and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.Job Type: Full-timePay Rate:$30-33 $1.50 increase after 90-180 daysHours can range from Monday-Friday 7am-7pm including weekends with some variations per business demands.Work location/setting:San Antonio TXBenefits:Paid Parental LeaveHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife InsuranceHSA/ FSAPaid time offEmployee Assistance Program401k matchingTuition ReimbursementEEOC:Circular Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: Circular Services is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
