Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in a mechanical or electronic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand assembly drawings.
• Assemble and build mail automation equipment.
• Utilize both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team depending on the project.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to read assembly drawings similar to IKEA furniture blueprints.
• Recognize mechanical parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.
• Identify hardware components like screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.
• Experience in using both hand and power tools is strongly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends if needed.
• Dependability and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment:

The position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with a strong team spirit. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime. Employees are encouraged to bring their personality and enthusiasm to the team.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
