Mechanical Assembler at Aerotek

Mechanical Assembler - Saint Charles, IL

This position is responsible for the assembly of metal cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions, and performing a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly and elevation drawings
• Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies
• Read tape measure
• Use manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
• Operate power tools including drills, impacts, and pneumatic torque wrenches

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environment
• Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics
• Ability to use shop equipment and hand tools
• Perform basic math functions including fractions and decimals
• Fluency in English for reading, writing, and conversing

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required

Pay and Benefits
