Role OverviewWe have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to work in our advanced manufacturing assembly department based out of the Shrewsbury MA location. This is a full-time role Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Successful performance and attendance during the initial 90 days will transition into a permanent position. If you possess an inquisitive mindset and enjoy developing solutions for first-generation problems you will be right at home!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMechanical assembly of devices requiring precision alignments and metrologySoldering of small gauge wires (2836 gauge)Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devicesInterpreting mechanical and technical product drawings and documentationAbility to use standard office applications (Word Excel Email)Skills and RequirementsAbility to complete complex mechanical assembly tasks and precision metrology measurementsModerate soldering experience J-STD-001 preferredFamiliarity with precision mechanical alignments tools and techniquesCan use multi-meters wire strippers and standard assembly and metrology toolsAbility to complete assembly and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirementsUse 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize workEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferredWhat We Provide:Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA PPO medical plan with HSADental and vision insuranceLTD & Life insurance401k with a generous company matchPI (Physik Instrumente) LP is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
