Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary: PowerBuilt is actively pursuing a qualified individual for our Engineering team to assist with various ergonomic, mechanical and structural projects. The position of mechanical design engineer will be over all designs of other engineers and is responsible for setting design standards within the department.Some of the tasks typical for this position:Design Lift Assist manipulators, clamps, below-the-hook devices, conveyors, racks, etc.Research and specification of parts and componentsDraft models of various mechanical and structural projectsProduce layout and details drawings, including parts lists and BOMPerform field verifications, measurements & project site visitsDevelopment of PowerBuilt standard productsDay to day management of designs within the departmentLead high level engineering projects Requirements: 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience & 4-year College Degree in Mechanical EngineeringAdvanced SolidWorks Design and Drafting experienceIndustrial and/or manufacturing experience Familiar with mechanical components such as actuators, gears, pivots, pneumatics, cylinders Peer management experienceProject ManagementAutoCAD and/or CATIA experience helpfulCompetent with Excel, Word, PowerPoint Able to Multi-taskGood organizational skillsHigh attention to detail PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
