Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosting Name: Mechanical Designer II Schedule: M – T, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM and Friday, 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM Join the Birdon team and help ensure USCG boats are safe and reliable!  Our Mechanical Designers are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis.  Some of your daily functions will include: Develop SolidWorks 3D models and associated 2D drawings for existing and new products.Meets daily with design team to identify and escalate roadblocks to remove barriers.Creator of Engineering Change Notifications to formally define design data.Initiates Engineering Change Requests when improvements, modifications, or errors are identified in released designs.Create drawings to assist manufacturing with tools, jigs, fixtures.Troubleshoot installation issues and recommend solutions.Ability to select vendor hardware/parts that are compatible with systems and customer requirements.Organize and maintain drawing file configurations and storage. If you have at least 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Designer, possess a High School Diploma or GED and fundamental knowledge in marine or manufacturing industry, we want to talk to you!
