Job Title -Mechanical Developer 2 Duration: 12 months-possible to extend Location Hingham MA 02040 Shift : 1st % of Travel needed: 0-5%-- possible for bringing items to testing - 8:00 to 5:00--9:00 to 6:00 Description: Onsite- BA degree required KEY EXPERIENCE-- 3D Solid modeling experience related to component/system design in Creo/ProE Our R&D department develops designs and manufacturers automatic transfer switches paralleling switchgear and power control systems. Your engineering knowledge will help our organization improve its ability to make the world a safer and more reliable place: think hospitals data centers utilities mass transportation and other aspects of life as we know it that needs reliable power systems. You will be part of providing solutions to the worlds growing need for dependable critical this role you will work under the direction of more senior engineers as you learn to enhance our current products and design and develop new products in support of our product roadmaps. Youll make a difference by: Developing mechanical components of electrical distribution equipment. Testing mechanical components. Designing Identifying and selecting components materials parts and semi-products appropriate for mechanical systems. Creating mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechanical design concepts. Calculating and creating final layout including documentation and specification for parts assemblies or finished products. Maintaining technical product files. Analyzing existing development procedures and suggests improvements. Implementing or testing design solutions. Upgrading the design of existing devices by adding mechanical elements. Analyzing localization requirements and designing/adapting products and solutions accordingly. Traveling to manufacturing locations and testing laboratories for new product implementation; visiting suppliers and customers. Youll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering 2 years of experience with the following: 3D Solid modeling experience related to component/system design in Creo/ProE Direct or related functions in design/ R&D of the mechanical aspects of electrical power distribution products. Working independently and within a team environment Strong problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
