Mechanical Engineer at Harrison Consulting Solutions

Established multi-disciplined consulting firm is looking to add a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to their Appleton Wisconsin team! Responsibilities:Primary engineering contact for architectural K-12 and public-sector projectsCollaborate with other disciplines to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designsCoordinate with utilities permitting agencies and code authorities to secure timely approvalsParticipate in public and board meetings as needed for school and municipal projectsMentor/train junior staffLead mechanical system design for a variety of building types (HVAC systems ventilation and energy recovery systems building automation and controls integration)Design of domestic water sanitary and storm plumbing systemsConduct load calculations equipment sizing pressure loss analysis and energy modelingDevelop detailed construction drawings and specifications using Revit AutoCAD and other design toolsStamp and certify mechanical construction documents in support of permit submittals and constructionReview designs respond to RFIs and support construction-phase servicesProvide accurate cost estimates and support scope development for new projects/proposalsEnsure QA/QC procedures are followed Requirements:Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering8 years of experience in mechanical building systems designPE LicenseExperience with K-12 and/or municipal building projects preferredLEED AP Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or related credentials preferredWorking knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IECC IBC ASHRAE 90.1 62.1 and plumbing codes)Proficient with Revit Bluebeam and mechanical system modeling/selections tools Salary is commensurate with experience.Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status disability race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity or national origin.
