Job ID:112814The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world.Job SummaryJoin our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Mechanical Engineer.This is an awesome opportunity to learn from the ground up as you impact the design, fabrication, and modification of mechanical and electro mechanical components, systems, and sub-systems.What Will You DoDesign, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystemsUse computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignmentsProvide regular reporting of progress and statusReview customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variableSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and servicesSupport the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirementsEducation & Experience RequirementsTypically requires at least 6 months of related internship or similar experience in Mechanical EngineeringBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldKnowledge of power electronics, power distribution, circuit board design, and/or semi-conductors is much preferredMotivated and engaged; comfortable in a team environment but also okay with working independently sometimesU.S. Citizenship required.Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
