Job DescriptionJob DescriptionEssential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Conduct field investigations and perform failure/accident analysis on incidents including train derailments, pedestrian strikes and vehicular impacts at railroad/highway grade crossings Evaluate rolling stock component related failuresInvestigate design, safety and failure of machinery and mechanical systems Perform calculations, engineering analysis, computer analyses and simulations and technical reportingProvide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, both verbally and in writingMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesRegular and predictable physical presence in the officeLong term goal to become testifying expertAbility to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performanceRegular and predictable presence at workPosition Requirements:B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering requiredP.
