This role is to support the delivery of business objectives through the application of defect elimination root cause analysis project management and technical support of on-site maintenance execution operations and project teams.This role is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make significant contributions to the management of critical assets in order to meet production requirements at Rio Tinto Wilmington CA. Contributions include but are not limited to:Engineering and troubleshooting support of maintenance execution and operations teamsIdentification ownership and implementation of initiatives to deliver improvements in safety asset performance and costCapital project validation and delivery supportInitiation and facilitation of root cause analysis to mitigate acute and chronic asset failuresReconciliation of production loss accounting dataWhat youll bringTo be successfully considered for this role you will have:A Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or another relevant related technical field3 years experience in engineering maintenance rolesAn ability to work cooperatively in a small team demonstrating flexibility and adaptationDemonstrated experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives and projectsExperience in Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause AnalysisIt will also be beneficial if you have:Experience working in an industrial fixed plant environmentDemonstrated knowledge of SAP or equivalent CMMSLean Six Sigma methodology experience or Black Belt CertificationWhat we offerWe are committed to providing our employees with a generous benefits package.
