This position will also be involved in all aspects of the process, from concept/scope development, CAD drawings, work breakdown structures/project planning, to execution/installation.Duties and Responsibilities: * Learning Howmet's EHS systems and applying them to the manufacturing plant floor to improve safety and overall working conditions of the employees* Observing the plant's operations in a specific assigned area, and working with a senior member of the engineering staff as a mentor to complete assigned tasks* Attending daily management meetings representing the engineering department with project updates and/or receiving new jobs* Investigate, design, engineer, justify and implement improvement activities* Using AutoCAD or SolidWorks, complete drawing updates* Providing engineering innovations that will increase reliability and availability of the plant facilities* Working closely with Production, Planning, and other departments (Purchasing, Maintenance, or outside vendors) to plan work activities* Performing root cause analysis with the goal to eliminate maintenance downtime* Continuing to learn the craft of electrical engineering (project and reliability engineering) , Qualifications Student must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, About Us Howmet Aerospace Inc.
