This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop essential skills for your future career in mechanical engineering.In this role you will have the opportunity to:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize mechanical enclosures for aerospace avionics / electronicsConduct analysis and simulations to ensure mechanical designs meet performance and safety requirementsDevelop and implement design standards and best practicesParticipate in design reviewsWork on Engineering Change Notices (updating designs and drawings per redlined documentation)Utilize Creo Parametric Mechanical Computer Aided Design Tool to execute Mechanical DesignsUtilize NX Mechanical Analysis Tools to execute advanced thermal and structural analyses of Mechanical DesignsLocation: This position is available in Clearwater FL.Pay Range: The hourly base range for this position is $34.00 to $39.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering completed and pursuing PhD degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institutionMust graduate in December 2026 or within 1 year of internshipMust continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internshipValidated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. citizen U.S. permanent resident or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.Honeywell is currently unable to consider applicants who would require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization for this position. Candidates must be authorized to legally work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.WE VALUE:Proficiency in Mechanical CAD and Analysis software and other engineering toolsStrong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practicesExperience with structural analysis and finite element analysisAbility to apply advanced engineering and analytical concepts and techniques to highly complex mechanical projectsAbility to analyze and solve complex and challenging problemsAbility to effectively operate in a matrix organizationBroad breadth of knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering especially in the packaging of electronics advanced thermal and structural concepts etc.Demonstrated knowledge of design engineering processesDemonstrated knowledge of mechanical fabrication and assembly processesMay act as a technical consultant for management.Provides technical insight to analyze risks and opportunities and adjusts plans to minimize risk and maximize opportunity.THE BUSINESS UNITHoneywell Aerospace Technologies (AT) products and services are found on virtually every commercial defense and space aircraft in the world.
