JOB TITLE: Mechanical Fabrication & Assembly Technician LOCATION: Huntington Beach CA PAY RATE: $27/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension) Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Regular and predictable attendance is required Support building activities for mechanical assemblies heavy structure drill-out bonding fastener installation component assembly and wire harness installation Build modify install troubleshoot and repair components and structural assemblies for production Bridge hands-on mechanical work with execution of planned tasks through work orders designs computer models processes and procedures Fabricate and assemble components using standard hand/power tools and precision instruments Maintain accurate documentation of completed work inspections and non-conformances Collaborate with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements Ensure compliance with safety procedures quality standards and configuration control Requirements: High school diploma or GED Technical diploma associate degree or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance machine trades or manufacturing technologies Experience with composites titanium sheet metal riveting fastening wiring tubing and basic machining Ability to read and interpret drawings blueprints and technical data Use of tooling such as torque wrenches countersinks drills deburring tools and calibrated equipment Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and effective communication with engineers and teammates Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
