Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $51-$55 DOEMechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (MIQA) InspectorPosition:Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)Location:5401 Jefferson Davis HighwayRichmond, Virginia23234Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Become proficient in the Meridium inspection modules (Inspection Manager, Thickness Monitoring and Risk Based Inspection).Direct, lead, and help develop in-house technicians and junior inspector.Act as a site resource for all ASME, API, National Board and other code interpretations pertaining to storage tanks, pressure vessels and process piping systems.Perform scheduled inspections as identified in Meridium Inspection Manager.Assess equipment condition per company and industry standards.As an NBIC Owner/User Commissioned IS Inspector, make suggested actions and recommendations pertaining to the repair and/or alteration of registered pressure vessels following the National Board code and the Rules and Regulations of the State of Virginia.Function as an API Authorized Inspector, which includes creating/revising/authorizing equipment inspection briefs and authorizing repairs to piping, storage tanks and pressure vessels.Issue inspection reports that identify recommendations and suggestive actions and follow up to ensure proper and timely completion.Work with company resources to design and develop repair/alteration plans for fixed equipment.Act as first contact between the areas and 3rd party inspection personnel (typically for heat exchanger tube testing).Maintain annual Owner User Certificate of AccreditationParticipate in State/National Board review every three years.Submit annual report to the State of Virginia related to the previous twelve-month pressure vessel inspection activity.Ensure our Owner User QA Manual is up to date.Provide QA/QC support for repairs, alterations and new fabrications as required.Participate in PSM and Regulatory audits.Assist areas with performing fabrication vendor audits as needed.Must have a valid driver license.Must be able to pass the Jaeger Visual Acuity test.Qualifications:At least one of the following API certifications required: API 510, API 570 and/or API 653UTT Level II and PT Level II certification preferred.Minimum 3 - 5 years of industry experience.Proficient in Meridium inspection modules or similar tracking tool for reports and documentation - (Inspection Manager, Thickness Monitoring and Risk Based Inspection) preferred.Proficient skill in utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.AWS CWI preferred.National Board Inservice Inspection Commission with R endorsement preferred.*Please note: You are expected to obtain any remaining required certifications and complete continuing education to maintain them.DuPont-Aramids is an equal opportunity employer.
