To be successful in this role, you need to be self-motivated, team orientated, punctual, have a high level of integrity, and have the ability and willingness to teach and learn. Essential DutiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Maintain a low Safety Incident Occurrence History Assist in aligning, leveling and anchoring equipmentLayout center, parallel and perpendicular lines for installation guidesUse laser leveling and alignment equipmentPerform geometric calculations as the apply to the jobProperly align and tension drive belts and chainsInstall shafts and bearingsAssemble and Install conveying systems of all types Perform weight calculations and estimatesCalculate the effect of sling angle on load capacityRead prints, diagrams, and manualsTroubleshoot and correct difficult mechanical problemsSafely operate small deck cranesRepair and rebuild gear boxes, complex mechanical systems, hydraulic pumps and cylinders, and pneumatic system componentsPerform equipment and line layoutsExperience and RequirementsUnderstand hand signals3 years of experiencePossess a through understanding of industrial tradesUnderstand and ability to interpret fork truck load tablesAbility to estimate center of gravityAbility to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs on occasion, stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and sit for long periods of timeMust not be afraid of heights or confined spacesHave a valid drivers license with a clean driving recordAbility to work overtime including weekends and holidays as neededAbility to adapt to changing schedule and easily and positively adjust to changing priorities and department processes.
