DOUGLAS GEORGIAOPERATIVE JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: OPERATIVEDEPARTMENT: ROUGH FINISHINGPAY LEVEL: H05 JOB FUNCTION:The Rough Finishing Operative must be able to perform one or more of the following operations: Cut-off Blast Water Blast Alloy Type Test (ATT) Snag Green Sort and Marking. Operator must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment efficiently.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Check all routings for proper identification and operational routing.Operate pneumatic knockout unit.Cut-off castings trim excess gating.Hand blast or water blast parts to remove excess ceramic material.Check alloy type.Snag grinding.Apply proper markings to castings using correct work instructions.Visually inspect work for obvious defects.Record on a daily basis all work performed by operational codes.Keep work area clean orderly and in a safe working condition follow all safety rules.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers clients co-workers and supervisors.Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.EDUCATION:High school education.EXPERIENCE:Rough Finish experience preferred.INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY:Normal initiative and ingenuity.EFFORT:Normal effort required. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds approximately 10-20 times per hour. Use chain hoist for heavier weights.RESPONSIBILITY:Responsible for self. Make sure parts meet quality standards.
