Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer (Experienced or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to join our team in Saint Charles MO.On the BT&E Test Operations & Engineering team the design engineer has the primary responsibility for the synthesis of requirements creation of engineering definition 3D modeling 2D drawing creation and model-based definition development that defines the mechanical hardware required to install a flight test data system. This position has a focus on the design of flight test instrumentation hardware to meet the test requirements of Weapons program customers including Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) Massive Ordinance Penetrator (MOP) and other derivative programs. The mechanical designers work the entire design cycle including support of requirement definition layouts coordination with electrical designers preliminary design review engineering release coordination with manufacturing engineers and suppliers occasional shipside support and change incorporation.BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior level Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineers.Position Responsibilities Include:Lead the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environmentLead the development maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customersPerform detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installationsLead team in performing spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/ordinance systemsPrepare technical documents for mechanical components and systemsPrepare proposal and new business development effortsWork with test program management for work estimation and intake processDelegate tasks to design team and provide supervision to junior engineersBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science5 years of experience in mechanical systems designExperience with and proficient in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Level 4: 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace EngineeringActive U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 monthsExperience in test and evaluationKnowledge/familiarity with additive manufacturing processes & toolsProficiency in Siemens NXDrug Free Workplace:Boeingis a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
