MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN 1EDUCATION & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHS Diploma or equivalent required. Experience may be substituted.Two years journeyman level experiences as an automotive or diesel mechanic or one year inBrevard County School Districts Bus or support vehicle maintenance facility with favorable evaluation*of skill levels from the Shop Sup. and/or Assistant Director.PREFERRED/DESIREDComputer skills Desired.Valid A.S.E. Certification in Heavy Duty Truck Repair School Bus Repair and/or Automobile repairpreferred or Florida Association of Pupil Transportation (FAPT) Master Repair Technician Certification(MRT) If certification is obtained the recipient will receive a five (5) percent supplement as long as thecertification is valid.
