Are you ready to go beyondWhat You Will Do:We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Testing Expert - MCL to be based in Columbus GA.The shift schedule is Weekend Days (AWW1): Fri-Sun 7am-7pm.Responsible for training oversight and quality assurance of new and current employeesResponsible for updating the data collection and analysis of auto data rejectsResponsible for the data collection and analysis of resamplesConduct root cause and analysis of resamplesTroubleshoot and resolve issues with testing software such as WinCCS Bluehill etcPerform technical review in LIMSReduce and manage Resamples/Retests to free product for downstream operations perform RCCA on failures to learn the root cause and prevent future cases from happening.Update the Quality Tracker with information for the reason of failure for tracking purposesProactively identify potential quality issues.Support the development and continuous improvement of mechanical testing processes tools and systems.Applies advanced skills adapts new procedures techniques tools etc.Relies on moderate to extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.Solves moderately complex problems and may serve as a resource on varied tasksLeads in orienting training assigning and checking the work of technical/business support employees.Qualifications You Must Have:2 year technical degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6 years of experience in a relevant areaHigh School DiplomaMust have extensive knowledge of Mechanical Testing (Creep Tensile Grainsize and Stress Rupture)Proficient in MS Excel UGA SAP etcU.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Works under minimal supervision.Qualifications We Value:Experience working in aerospace manufacturing and productionWhat We Offer:Medical dental vision and life insuranceShort-term disability long-term disability and parental leave401(k) matchFlexible spending accountsEmployee assistance programEmployee Scholar Program (No waiting period!)Paid time off including: 3 weeks of vacation 5 personal sick days 3 unpaid days for unique situations at supervisor discretion and 12 paid government holidaysWhat is my role type In addition to transforming the future of flight we are also transforming how and where we work.
