JOB DESCRIPTION

Mechanical Tooling Inspector

You will be the Mechanical and Tooling Inspector for the Inspection Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical components and tooling throughout the product lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing As the Mechanical and Tooling Inspector you will be responsible for performing comprehensive inspections of parts, assemblies, and tooling to guarantee they meet rigorous engineering standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical parts, assemblies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Utilize precision measurement instruments and layout methods to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Document inspection results and generate non-conformance reports as needed.
  • Support prototype and production development programs by ensuring quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
