We provide a wide array of trauma-informed health care emergency services and support.JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant Bilingual Haitian Creole speakingPROGRAM: Plymouth Sexual and Reproductive Health Services and some traveling to other locationsHOURS: Full time Monday-Friday including eveningsSALARY: $28.10 per hourLOCATIONS: PlymouthBENEFITS: Medical Dental Vision 403b Retirement Plan Employee Assistance Program etc.DUTIES: The Medical Assistant will work within a sexual and reproductive health services team to support the provision of clinical services by providing the following:Provide clients with non-judgmental and accurate information regarding reproductive health issues contraception sexually transmitted infections HIV Hepatitis pregnancy options and pregnancy prevention.Assist in abortion procedures by providing MAB prescreening procedure counseling and consenting and post procedure patient supportObtain and record clients personal medical history including gynecological obstetrical and sexual historyAccurately enter data into electronic health record systemAttend morning clinic huddleSupport clinics by doing intakes over the phone helping with medical follow-up as needed and reconciling outstanding labs in eCWBe the back-up for medical follow-up coordinators in their absenceOther duties as assigned by the Site Manager.RequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Haitian Creole speaker; high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience as Medical Assistant in busy office; computer literacy essential. Must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills in English and be sensitive to the needs of a culturally diverse population; prior experience working with low income and vulnerable populations; demonstrated ability to communicate unbiased reproductive health knowledge to patients (adolescents and adults of all genders) in an effective and culturally competent non-judgmental manner.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Medical Assistant Certificate GYN medical assisting experiencePlease indicate on your cover letter the position you are applying for.
