Job DescriptionThe Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides assessment, management and outcome evaluation for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The APRN serves as a resource to educate patients, families, professional nurses, and staff; functions as a liaison between patient, family and UofL Physicians staff; and participates in clinical research. The APRN should demonstrate an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.UofL Health - UofL Physicians is seeking an advanced practice clinician to join the gastroenterology division with UofL Health.The ideal candidate will be well trained in all aspects of Gastroenterology, be flexible, collaborative and patient-focused. This position is a non-academic, community based opportunity and is available because of the expanding patient care needs throughout the Louisville area.Opportunities exist at our South and Mary and Elizabeth Campus (outpatient only). The appropriate candidate should demonstrate an advanced level of medical and/or nursing knowledge in caring for gastroenterology patients, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation. This individual will also be responsible for ongoing professional development and competency validation.ABOUT THE POSITIONProvide comprehensive care which may include in-office procedures.Provide patient/family education as neededCommunicate with providers and office staff through electronic health records system (i.e., Epic) about patient care needs and management.Submit timely and accurate billing for services rendered.Complete office notes in a timely manner.Serve as a resource for office staff and other members of the health care team.Maintain compliance with all required training programs, commitment to professional growth and competency and compliance with all hospital privileges, licensures, and certifications.Other duties as assigned which may include travel to outlying clinics.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCECurrent certification and licensure in the state of Kentucky.Professional experience in Gastroenterology is strongly recommended but not required.Prior experience with Epic is preferred but not required.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONComprehensive provider and retirement benefitsMarket competitive salary with work RVU bonus each year!$2000.00 CME allowance216 hrs PTO front loaded- renews each JanuaryFree tuition with the University of Louisville for employees and their familiesAffiliation with an academic health system - UofL HealthInterested candidates, please submit a letter of interest and curriculum vitae to Randi Ragan, physician recruiter at [email protected] & AddressJHHS - Med Center East - ULP - CMGLouisville, KY 40207Contact InformationStephanie RogersC: [email protected] 2025-104093
