Job Description: Medical AssistantLocation:Tavares FL 32778 Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)Shift ScheduleMonday: 7:00 AM 2:00 PMTuesday: 9:00 AM 4:00 PMWednesday: 7:00 AM 2:00 PMThursday: 7:00 AM 2:00 PMFriday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PMPosition OverviewThe Medical Assistant will support both front and back office operations in an outpatient primary care environment. This role involves clinical tasks administrative duties and direct patient interaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented reliable and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.ResponsibilitiesGreet and room patients in a timely and professional manner.Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.Take and record vital signs accurately.Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens.Administer vaccines and support routine clinical procedures.Conduct POC testing and perform EKGs.Provide support for both front and back office operations.Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Maintain a collaborative working relationship with staff.Perform additional clinical or administrative tasks as needed.QualificationsMinimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (beyond externship).Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.Proficiency with EMR systems required.Strong communication attention to detail and computer skills.Interest in patient education and community health outreach is a plus.Required SkillsFront/back office experiencePhlebotomy/venipunctureEKGPoint-of-Care (POC) testingAppointment schedulingRooming patientsTaking vitalsBLS or CPR certificationFor more details reach at / About Navitas Healthcare LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
