Company Description San Francisco Ear, Nose & Throat Medical Group, Inc. is a specialized otolaryngology practice with seven ENT physicians serving patients of all ages. The practice provides comprehensive care for a full range of general ENT conditions and offers subspecialty services in Pediatric Otolaryngology, Rhinology, Head and Neck Cancer, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition, the team delivers allergy immunotherapy, including both subcutaneous and sublingual treatments for inhalant allergies. Two in-house audiologists perform comprehensive hearing evaluations and dispense hearing aids, supporting coordinated, multidisciplinary patient care. The practice emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered service in a collaborative clinical environment.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role based in San Francisco, CA. Cantonese fluency is required and Mandarin comprehension is preferred. The Medical Assistant will be one of two support staff members assisting a single ENT provider at 1199 Bush Street, San Francisco, CA and may be required to work at a different office location when that ENT provider is out of the office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing medical records and electronic health documentation
- Processing referrals
- Following HIPAA privacy laws
- Maintaining exam room cleanliness and restocking supplies as needed
- Coordinating patient flow
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Checking in and out patients
- Answering phones and managing calls
- Verifying insurance information
- Assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks
- Maintaining a welcoming office environment
Qualifications
- Cantonese fluency is required as a high percentage of patients are Cantonese speakers. Mandarin comprehension is preferred. English fluency is required.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Experience working in a Medical Office setting is preferred but not required for the motivated and fast learner.
It is not necessary to have completed a Medical Assistant program or certification.
Pay is $24/hour. Benefits are available for full-time employees. There is opportunity for advancement within the company.
