Join us and help change the future of healthcare for the better.The Medical Assistant position is comfortable working in a fast paced paperless environment. Daily tasks include taking vitals rooming patients cleaning rooms assisting with procedures etc. As an urgent care clinic we see mostly lower acuity patients but we are a patient centric modern company focused on providing patients with excellent medical care. We are looking for someone with availability and flexibility to work weekdays weekends and some holidays.WHAT YOULL DOPerform patient care by taking vitals patient history and triagingAssist with procedures such as incision and drainage lacerations and wound careAdminister medications via intradermal intramuscular and subcutaneous routes carry out ear lavages and run EKGsConduct lab testing such as urinalysis urine pregnancy test blood glucose testing monospot rapid strep and influenza testing rapid hiv testingManage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as neededComplete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol TestsABOUT YOUHigh school diploma or equivalentCertification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except in those locations(s) permitted by law for exemption with experience diploma and/or national certification)Current BLS certification willingness to obtain DOT certification1 years experience as a Medical Assistant preferredPhlebotomy experience preferredGreat communication skillsBENEFITSMedical dental & vision coverage effective first day of employmentHealth Savings Account & Flexible Savings Account option for health care & dependent carePaid time off paid sick leave401k retirement savings plans with employer matchLife & Disability InsuranceDOT certification will be reimbursed where it is required for practice*Some benefits dependent on specialty and employment statusWe recognize that the key to success lies in valuing the minds experiences and perspectives of people from all walks of life.
