American Workforce Group has partnered with a local pediatrics office in Longview, WA looking for a Medical Billing Specialist!

Description for Medical Billing Specialist:

• Perform posting charges
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing EMR
• Perform completion of claims to payers
• Reconcile missing encounters
• Resolve insurance denial instances
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with the contract discount
• Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
• Deploy, maintain and report on various programs
• Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts
• Reviewing patient bills for accuracy, completeness, and obtaining any missing information

Details for Medical Billing Specialist:

• Pay: $20
• Schedule: M-F
• Shift Hours: 8am-5pm

Requirements for Medical Billing Specialist:

• Medical billing certificate; Associates Degree; or
• Proficient in electronic medical records
• Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Suite which includes Word, Excel, etc.
• Familiar with Insurance company websites or confident in navigating insurance websites
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Two years of experience in medical billing, or the;
• Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
•  Vaccination proof for MMR, DTAP, Covid-19, and Hep B will be required for staff and patient safety.
