Medical Billing Supervisor at Volt

Volt is immediately hiring for a remote Medical Billing Supervisor.

As a Medical Billing Supervisor you will:

• Supervise the work of the Revenue Cycle Team by delegating work, monitoring progress, and evaluating work product for timeliness, quality, and compliance with policy and procedures
• Coordinating and leading daily team activities
• Assisting with management decisions and activities
• Providing feedback about team members to management
• Developing new processes and improving existing processes in pursuit of team goals with emphasis on quality, efficiency, and speed.
• Follow and enforce guidelines, processes, and procedures to accomplish objectives and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time, contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Three plus years supervisory experience in medical billing including hospital billing and collections
• Able and willing to work outside of normal hours
• Experience mentoring less experienced team members
• Experience being evaluated against, and creating action plans based on financial goals and targets to create a profitable service line
• Complete understanding and in-depth working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle; Good working knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA and compliance; Solid knowledge of third-party billing requirements and HIPAA 837/835 electronic language.
• Able to work independently and with wide latitude for independent judgement
• Able to establish and monitor performance/productivity standards
• Able to balance workload of being a supervisor and individual contributor
• Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience required

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health information management or accounting, or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extensive experience implementing, supporting, optimizing, and upgrading MEDITECH and/or other EMR

Pay Rate : $38 - $43 per hour.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
