Medical Coder at Granger Medical

Medical Coder - Full Time (Remote) Granger Medical Clinic is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our team. This is a remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while supporting our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Utah South Carolina Arizona Texas Kentucky Georgia Arkansas Idaho or Wyoming.General Surgery experience is required.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately audit and code daily E/M visits.Review operative reports transcriptions and other documentation to extract necessary information.Assign correct CPT codes associated modifiers and ICD-10 codes to billing documents.Provide coding and billing education and feedback to providers.Research correct resubmit and appeal denied claims.Stay current on payer policies and procedures both standard and unique.Maintain a minimum 90% coding accuracy rate.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Ability to self-educate and adapt to changing requirements.Strong customer service communication multitasking and organizational skills.Certification required: AAPC or AHIMA (CPC CCS-P).Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience.General Surgery coding experience required.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Sedentary work requiring lifting up to 10lbsRepetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipmentInside climate-controlled working conditions Granger Medical Clinic offers competitive wages and excellent benefits.
