Job Description: Hospitalist - Medical DirectorLocation: Fitchburg, WIPosition: Full-TimeCompensation: $190 $260/hour (flexible shift lengths to accommodate your schedule) About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospitalist - Medical Director specializing in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine to join our dynamic team in Fitchburg, WI. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Administration:Oversee and guide the hospitalist program, including staffing, workflow, and operational efficiency.Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement policies and protocols to enhance patient care quality.Participate in performance evaluations, recruitment, and onboarding of hospitalist team members.Clinical Duties:Provide inpatient care to a diverse patient population, including admissions, discharges, and consultations.Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.Lead daily rounds and address complex cases with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatment.Quality Improvement:Drive initiatives aimed at reducing hospital-acquired conditions, readmissions, and length of stay.Monitor and report key performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Education and Mentorship:Mentor and support the professional development of hospitalist team members.Conduct regular team meetings and educational sessions to promote best practices. Qualifications: Education:Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.Licensure:Unrestricted Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain).Current DEA certification.Experience:At least 2 years of clinical experience as a hospitalist (preferred).Previous leadership or administrative experience is a plus.Skills and Attributes:Strong clinical acumen and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
