Job Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Pay Rate: $15hr

Duration: 3+ month contract

Location: Lenoir City, TN 37772

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff. The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our practice while delivering a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary documentation.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using eClinicalWorks or similar systems, ensuring optimal patient flow.
  • Handle phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical billing and coding using ICD-10 standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Familiarize yourself with dental terminology to assist patients effectively when required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computerized systems, particularly eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of medical billing processes and coding practices is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of patient service principles and commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff members.
