Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Performs laboratory tests in his/her licensed areas, based on blood, tissue and body fluids using both automated analyzers and manual methods. All equipment is used and maintained according to Manufacturer and SOP. This position requires the use of established quality control monitors to ensure proper processing and accurate test results. The work requires the use of proper personal protective equipment at all times and consideration must be given to the spatial environment. Utilizes all principles of Quality control in performance of laboratory testing according to GSMC and Tenet Healthcare SOP’s and guidelines. Adheres to all Federal, State, and Regulatory Agency standards (Joint Commission, ACHA, CAP) Performs and fulfils all HICS responsibilities as directed and needed by facility in times of emergency/ disasterMinimum Education / Licensure / Certifications:Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or one of the chemical or biological sciences. Must hold a current State of Florida Technologist’s license in the respective specialty (ies).
