Our new employees experience opportunities to learn andgrow while caring for their families friends and neighbors.IMC is currently hiringaMedical Lab Technician who is responsible for maintaining skills in manual and automated testing of moderate and high complexity in all sections of the laboratory which include chemistry hematology and coag urinalysis microbiology blood bank and immunology; following QC and QA protocols; becoming proficient in using the Laboratory Information System; abiding by all regulatory requirements including CAP TJC CMS and OIG legal lab compliance; and participating in proficiency testing. Education Skills and Experience:Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology is required a Bachelors degree is preferred; Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP or AMT;Current license as a Clinical Laboratory Technician with the LSBME;6 months Clinical training through an approved MLT training hospital or previous MLT experience;Working knowledge of testing of waived moderate and high complexity in the following disciplines: General Chemistry Special Chemistry Therapeutic Drugs Toxicology Hematology Coagulation Urinalysis Blood Bank Parasitology Serology and Microbiology; andAnalytical computer skills and knowledge of laboratory workflow.Schedules:Fulltime IBERIA MEDICAL CENTER is an EEO Employer - M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status View all jobs at this companyRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Bidding,Imageready,Administration,Healthcare,Conveyancing Paralegal,Arabic Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
