Medical Office Staff Assistant

Job Title: Medical Office Staff Assistant

Hours: 8am 5pm

Pay: $14.51+/hr (DOE)

Summary/Objective

The Medical Office Staff Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties to ensure efficient office operations. Primary responsibilities include greeting patients, answering a multi-line phone system, and completing administrative tasks vital to the seamless delivery of patient care.

Essential Job Duties

  • Answer a multi-line phone system and direct calls to the appropriate parties.
  • Greet patients upon arrival, distribute necessary paperwork, and provide information for office visits or treatments.
  • Collect co-pays and other required fees prior to office visits or treatments.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for assigned clinics or providers.
  • Communicate with patients regarding scheduling, referrals, or insurance verification.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with outside physician offices, insurance companies, and hospital departments to ensure exceptional patient care.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 13 years of related experience preferred.
